Here is a timeline of Charles's life:
- 1929 - Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Rosa Stirm née Bosch (Landlady/Hausfrau) and Reinhold Stirm (Concrete worker).
- 1936 - Charles's sister, Brunhilde Stirm is born.
- 1948 - Enlists with the US Army and is sent to the Japanese theatre of occupation.
- 1950 - Enlistment is extended by 12 months due to the Korean War. Transferred to Korea where he is stationed in Busan. Serves as Sergeant First Class and maintains all officer records.
- 1951 - Obtains employment at Kaiser Metal Products in Bristol, PA.
- 1952 - Meets Anna Monger at a German club in Philadelphia, PA.
- 1954 - Marries Anna Monger.
- 1957 - Charles and Anna have their first child, Michael Charles Stirm.
- 1959 - Second child, Linda Christine Stirm is born.
- 1963 - Third child, Catherine Ann Stirm is born.
- 1966 - Obtains employment at Globe Rubber Products in Philadelphia as an Industrial Engineer.
- 1974 - Obtains employment at TYCO in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey as an Industrial Engineer.
- 1985 - Charles and family take a trip to Germany and Hungary to visit Charles's and Anna's relatives and to sightsee. Charles's son Michael marries Valerie Williams.
- 1987 - First grandchild Michael Charles Stirm II is born.
- 1991 - Second grandchild Matthew Joseph Stirm is born.
- 1994 - Earns Ornamental Horticulture Certificate from Camden County Vocational and Technical Schools and begins working as a Landscaper.

- 2004 - Charles takes a trip to Germany with his grandson, Matthew to visit relatives and sightsee.
- 2017 - Charles's daughter Catherine marries Joseph Richardson.
